Open Position — Marketing Director

Reports to: Vice President

The Marketing Director sets the vision for and manages the overall marketing strategy of Chula’s Mission.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops and communicate marketing strategy and marketing plan to the Board.

  • Provides marketing budget recommendations, yearly and quarterly.

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates marketing efforts.

  • Develops and disseminates newsletter on a quarterly basis.

  • Oversees social media marketing strategy and content marketing.

  • Updates and maintains website on an as needed basis, quarterly at minimum.

Time Commitment and Expectation

  • 1 year + (unless otherwise determined).

  • Attend and participate in monthly scheduled board meetings.

  • Attend BOD retreats (2 per year).

  • Attend and participate in special events (i.e. fundraisers 1-2 per year).

Qualifications

  • A commitment to and a clear understanding of the mission of Chula’s Mission.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Experience and competence with the essential job functions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Open Position — Social Media Coordinator

Reports to: Vice President

The Social Media Coordinator oversees the social media strategy to ensure it aligns with the brand of Chula’s Mission.

Essential Job Functions

  • Design and implement social media strategies and campaigns that align with Chula’s Mission brand.

  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content at least 3 times a week (i.e. original text, photos, video, and news) to Facebook and Instagram.

  • Review success of campaigns and develop ways to improve.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to ensure brand consistency.

  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor messages that come through.

  • Oversees social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram) design (i.e. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, etc.).

  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.

Qualifications

  • A commitment to and a clear understanding of the mission of Chula’s Mission.

  • Knowledge of SEO.

  • Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Ability to deliver creative content.

  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
