First Annual Mother's Day Fundraiser!
Chula’s Mission was thrilled to host our first annual Mother’s day fundraising event on May 10th, 2018 at Waterbar in Pacific Beach. Thanks to the continued support of our sponsors and friends who were in attendance that evening we raised an incredible $7,254 in our continued mission to help and nurture young, motherless-girls!
It was a night of delicious cocktails and food, beachy sunsets, and excitement as we waited eagerly to hear our raffle ticket numbers called! Items and services for the Opportunity Drawing were graciously provided by:
Field Tickets to Padres vs. Marlins on 5/28 sponsored by Clark Construction Group
La Jolla Kayaking and Snorkeling Tour from La Jolla Kayak
Clothing donated from Roe + May collection
Cyrotherapy Sessions provided by Cryomist
Spa services given Natura Waxing Lounge
La Costa Spa packages sponsored by Jared Smith from JS Electric
3 coffee subscriptions to Marea Coffee
DC Shoes and Plan B skateboard provided by Danny Way
Salon services donated by stylist Christy Helm
Planning and organizing for the event provided in part by Kirby Hady from Pacific Western Painting
We can’t thank our donors enough for making this portion of the evening possible!
It’s thanks to everyone's generous contributions that we will be able to fund another summer of Camp Elvira for the girls. Every year Camp Elvira, named in loving memory of our founder Mayra’s late mother, takes the girls out of their normal cityscapes and into the wilderness for lots of sun, fun, and exploration.
Summer camp gives the girls exposure and interaction with different environments, as well as opportunities for in depth bonding experiences with each other and with their mentors. For 2018 the girls will be “Roaring Into Summer” at the World Famous San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park. Complete sponsorship as well as care packages (the kind you would have gotten from Mom while you were at summer camp) will be provided to to the girls thanks to your donations.
